About St.George card statements

St.George issues Vertigo, Amplify and No Annual Fee credit cards, with monthly PDF statements available from St.George Internet Banking and the mobile app. The card statement layout differs sharply from St.George's transaction-account statements — and from most bank statements generally. Transactions appear in a single Amount column where payments and refunds carry a trailing 'CR' marker, dates are printed without a year ('23 Dec'), the statement period hides inside the account summary as '(from 24/11/2025 to 23/12/2025)', and no running balance is printed per transaction. Generic parsers routinely mis-sign the payments or put January transactions in the wrong year on a December statement. Ledger Pilot's card extractor resolves every date against the statement period (including the December-to-January wrap), applies proper card semantics — purchases increase the balance owed, payments reduce it — computes the running balance from your opening balance, and verifies the result against the printed closing balance to the cent before you download anything. A row that can't be read produces a flagged discrepancy, not a silently wrong file. Export clean Excel, CSV, Xero, MYOB (QIF) or QuickBooks (QBO) files with every amount correctly signed for a credit-card account, GST-likely purchases flagged for BAS time.

Frequently asked questions

How do I download a St.George credit card statement as a PDF?
Log in to St.George Internet Banking, select the credit card, open Statements, choose the statement period, and download the PDF. The mobile app offers the same under Statements & documents.
My statement prints dates like '23 Dec' with no year — does that convert correctly?
Yes. Every transaction date is resolved against the statement period printed in your account summary, including statements that span December into January — a 28 Nov purchase and a 2 Jan purchase on the same statement both land in the correct year.
How are payments and refunds handled?
St.George marks payments and refunds with a 'CR' after the amount. The converter reads that marker and signs them opposite to purchases, so your Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks import reflects the real direction of every transaction — and the whole statement is verified against the closing balance to the cent.
Which St.George cards are supported?
The certified layout is St.George's standard consumer card statement, used across Vertigo, Amplify and No Annual Fee cards. Every conversion is verified by reconciliation, so an unexpected layout is flagged rather than silently mis-converted.
Do Bank of Melbourne or BankSA card statements work too?
Bank of Melbourne and BankSA are St.George's sister brands and their card statements follow the same layout, so they generally convert — and the reconciliation check confirms each file. If yours is flagged, send a redacted sample to support and we'll certify it.
